Sesame Street
Everybody Is a Star shows how the best children's music can be savored by the whole family. The tape is the idea of lead singer and producer Sherry Goffin Kondor (singer-composer Carole King's daughter), and it features rock hits from the 1970s that will inspire kids and adults to dance and sing along. Kondor and the veteran studio singer Russell Velazquez provide most of the zesty lead vocals with the help of a children's chorus (including Kondor's kids, Dillon and Sophie). One unique treat is to hear Kondor, Carole King, and the kids sing an updated rendition of King's touching classic, "You've Got a Friend." Other high notes include the title song as well as "The Lion Sleeps Tonight" and "Rockin' Pneumonia and the Boogie Woogie Flu." (Ages 3 and up)
